My Homeland is So Unique - Summary

 

My Homeland is So Unique -Romania - Turkey; 2020 -2021

1. We spent time together and overcame our shyness, looking for resources to communicate, to be creative, available, involved;

2. We have transformed classical learning into learning through play, cooperation, international collaboration, exchange of ideas, support, shifting the emphasis on skills training and development;

3. We practiced our linguistic talent by speaking in English and trying the Turkish version;

4. We corresponded with students from Turkey, we made friends, we shared thoughts, we talked about school, passions, weather, pets, books, music, etc.

5. We entered the forum, we played, we discussed different topics, together, teachers and students;

6. We got involved in all the activities proposed by the partners in Turkey, we greened, we planted, we drew attention to environmental issues, we wished beautiful things on the occasion of the New Year, we drew attention to the need to follow the rules to be in internet safety, we talked about cyberbullying;

6. We had online meetings, we played Kahoot, we had fun and we felt good together;

7. Every step taken meant evolution, encouragement, good will, increased self-confidence, respect for our work and those around us, the courage to tell our point of view, to express opinions. We were listened to, praised, supported and we understood the value of teamwork, but also the importance of the coordinating teachers who enrolled us in this project and guided us with passion and gentleness;

8. We learned new things about new territories, we learned more about the town we live in, we studied elements such as art, architecture, local culture, traditions, stories, we communicated to our partners about the Romanian local tradition and we were curious to find out about the birthplaces of Doganhisar;

9. I have developed skills such as communication, expression in a foreign language, digital skills, social and civic skills, cultural expression skills, learning to learn;

10. We have discovered new applications that we can use in the future. Also, the products of the project are very useful and we will make them known in the school and local community;

11. At the school level, the involvement in the project made us be looked at with respect and parents, colleagues, teachers appreciate our work;

12. We have a digital cookbook with recipes from Romanian and Turkish cuisine, a trilingual dictionary, a canvas material about local architecture and art, trilingual greeting cards and wishes, materials that we can use as teaching materials at school, in different activities. We also collaborated on completing the questionnaires, voting on photos from the native regions, on wordworld materials, in online meetings, where we discussed, played, on the twinspace where we corresponded, organized activities and responded to the challenges of communicate and collaborate.

13. We have new friends, we are lucky, Today we know more than at the beginning of the project, we are braver and more involved. Thank you all for your trust and collaboration! We appreciate it!
